Portlandia. | NYMBlog

I want to apologize for my lack of posts this week, I’ve been really busy at work and also preparing for the launch of nymb.co. It’s just been crazy.

I’ve been sitting down to watch Portlandia as a little relaxer(it breaks up the time I spend watching Top Chef), and I think it’s hilarious so if you haven’t watched yet I suggest you DVR it like I do. Or just regular watch it on TV like people used to do in the old days.

Bike and Walk Summit

This past weekend I went to the NJ Bike and Walk Summit in New Brunswick. I learned a lot, listened to and met a lot of really amazing people. Did any of you attend the summit?

The president of Bike New York was there, the President of the League of American Bicyclists, Mayor of New Brunswick and Director of Planning, and many, many more!

Some of my favorite discussions covered local issues revolving around bicycling and pedestrian projects in New Jersey. For example, there was a discussion on creating safe routes to school for kids in Camden, a forum on Complete Streets with representatives from NJDOT, and lots of information about the upcoming Ciclovia in New Brunswick.

I’m working on writing a more in depth post on the discussions at the Bike and Walk Summit so look out for that next week. It’s spectacular how many people can come together to discuss the future of biking and walking and how much information there is to take in.

Tomorrow is #bikenyc photo Friday so I’ll see you back for that.

Please find us on Facebook. You’ll find a lot of relevant articles and information about bike and ped projects in the area. Soon you’ll even get some exclusive updates and deals from the upcoming online store.

Thanks for reading and all your support!
