On Saturday this week a package arrived that I just wasn’t expecting: my GoPro Hero 2!
I wasn’t expecting it was because I had ordered it the day before on Friday afternoon–so it came surprisingly quickly. I didn’t have the time to set it up and strap it onto my bike helmet until Sunday morning so I was anxious knowing that it was sitting at home, cold and alone without me for a day.
I got a few good practice rides in and then took it to work on Monday where I captured this slightly snowy ride to work.
I purposefully took my Cannondale with me(I often bike commute w/ my Miyata pictured in the corner) because of the snow and ice I expected, especially on the ride home that evening.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed the video, it’s just a little over 6 minutes of my winter bike commute which generally lasts about 20-25 minutes each way. More videos coming soon!
I’m planning a lot of instructional videos so stay tuned for that, subscribe and follow me on twitter!
Tomorrow is #BikeNYC Photo Friday, and I’m including some news from bike commuting in the city this week so check back for that as well!
Tell us about your commute. Do you ride in the winter time, or with snow and rain?
Catch you soon!
